Two English calves were given to Baba. They were named Raja and Pradhan ("King" and "Minister"). Baba and Mehera fed them with a milk bottle. Before the New Life, Pradhan died, and Raja and another Brahma Bull were used to plough the fields in Meherabad. It was these two that were taken on the New Life and used to pull the caravan.
