Translated from the Tamil language, this is a summary of India's great epic story of Ram and Sita. It has been edited into very readable English and serves well its stated purpose of bringing this lengthy tale to the attention of modern readers. One note: The translator apologizes for pausing occasionally "to moralize," explaining that he did so because he was aiming at younger readers. It doesn't interfere with the story, and this is a good version for both younger and older readers.
